For any of you who know us, you know that Zack LOVES the Braves, and he is a die hard fan...win or loose. So, when the season started and Bobby Cox announced his retirement, Zack was already planning a trip to turner field. Several months ago, we talked with friends and family and decided to get tickets. So, Zack had sent in our ticket order and gotten tickets for the game months ago. There were 16 of us that went. The people that went changed a little from the group that was originally planning to go...life happens.
We had to get to the game early so that we wouldn't miss the tribute to Bobby Cox. We were there about an hour before it started. The tribute was really touching and every one had only really nice things to say about Bobby Cox.

We were expecting great things. You could not have asked for a more energized fan base and there were a lot of baseball greats in the ball park watching the game. It was the perfect opportunity for a win. The stage was set...the Braves fell short.

While it was a lot of fun being in the stands at the game, spending time with friends and family, it was REALLY disappointing to watch that game. It would have been so nice if the Braves could have won on the day of the Tribute, but I guess that we will settle for them getting the wildcard for the post season.
