Pizza night with a twist at the Puddle

I definitely have not been cooking as much as Zack would like these last few weeks. I have tried out a couple of new recipes that I forgot to take pictures of...I blame the fact that I have been sick for 2 weeks!

Anyway, this past week, I decided to try a recipe for Pizza Rolls. They were pretty easy to make. Tasted pretty good, and they freeze allowing you to make them ahead and pull them out as you need them. I have 2 of these little rolls in the Freezer that I'm sure that I will forget about them...there is a saying in our house about the freezer. It's were all good food goes to die...I tend to forget that it is there until it is GROSSLY out of date and no longer edible. Keeping my fingers crossed that that won't be the case this time!

2nd Annual Halloween Bowling

After having such a great time bowling on Halloween last year, we decided to get together and bowl on Halloween again this year.

I got sick a few days before Halloween and still was not feeling great the day of Halloween. So, I had to use one of my old standby's for my costume. ...I'll need to redeem myself next year.

We planned to have our festivities here in our neck of the wood, since most people said that they could attend if we did it here...unfortunately, pretty much everyone backed out at the last minute...

Patrick and Embo drove into town and they and Skye met us here at the puddle for dinner, costume reveal, and then departure for bowling.

Emily came dressed as "The Hamburglar". Patrick was a Q-tip. Skye was "The Bearded Lady". Zack was Inspector Tonk, and I went as a black belt (original I know).

We had Hamburgers, Italian Roasted potatoes, Salad, Apple Cider, and Apple pie for dinner. Embo and Skye were going to bring sides, but ran out of time to make anything. Skye bought some pizza bites for an appetizer, and Embo brought some festive cookies.

Once we ate dinner, we headed out to the Bowling Lane. We went back to the same bowling alley that we went to last year. This year they seemed a lot more accepting of us being there. We bowled to games. Patrick and Embo were battling for first...and Skye and I battled for last...some how she beat me everytime!!

After our bowling, Inspector Tonk Arrested the Hamburglar and The Bearded Lady and we headed home to watch a movie. Meaning, we all fell asleep on couches and then woke up later to actually go to bed.

We were planning to carve pumpkins, but never got around to it. Check out this crazy pumpkin that Patrick and Embo brought!

An Arts and Crafts festival

Last weekend, there was an arts and Crafts festival in our little town. I LOVE going to tings like this. it is always so fun to see all of the neat things that people are making. Every year when I go to this festival, I say that I should have a booth there the next year. That hasn't happened yet, but maybe I'll actually do it one of these years. Zack and I were able to find a couple of unique gifts for people for Christmas. So hard to believe that that is already looming up on us.

Laurie's Wedding

I'm not sure what Skye and Nora are doing here...it almost looks like Nora is picking Skye up...literally.
Nora's boyfriend decided to forgo being in the picture and he took some pictures for us.

Our friend Laurie got married last weekend. She was having a small intimate wedding fallowed by a reception for friends and family.

Zack and I were very thankful that we were able to attend....we were of course late. The Wedding was in Chattanooga and so we had a ways to drive to get there.

I am so glad that we got to go though. Laurie looked beautiful and she was soooo happy. We also got to spend time hanging out with friends that we often don't get to see. The wedding and reception took place right next to a lake. Laurie had lots of beautiful flowers and greenery and they served a BBQ dinner. Everything about the wedding/Reception was perfectly Laurie!

The only bad part about the wedding was that we left late meaning we got home REALLY late!....but in the end, I think that the loss of sleep was worth the memories.

Congratulations on your wedding Laurie, we LOVE you!!! We are very excited for you as you enter into this new phase of your life!
