Roma Ultima closed it's first season with several hard fought battles at their sectional meet the end of September. The guys really wanted to go to Regionals, and they played really hard. Unfortunately, they didn't quite get that allusive 5th place or higher ranking. They fought hard for it. They played really well, and I am really proud of the team for doing so well during their first season of playing together. We did end up getting a bid to Regionals because one of the top 5 teams declined their bid. Sadly, Regionals was in Austin TX and we were asked the week before. That just didn't give us enough time to figure out traveling arrangements, etc.
Congratulations Roma Ultima on a great season. I am looking forward to seeing the team develop and grow over the next couple years. The guys are athletic and talented and with a little more experience, Roma Ultimate will be a team that is hard to beat!
