Some very dear friends of ours from college, Brad and Megan and their three precious little boys, were passing through our little town as they traveled between grandparents, giving us the opportunity to spend some time with them.
It has been several years since we have gotten to see them and it was so nice to get the chance to catch up. I don't think that I have seen them since their wedding 5 years ago. They live in Indiana; so it is not often that they make it down our way. As much as we would have loved seeing them more frequently, a few periodic phone calls and emails over the years have sufficed to keep us up on the big events in each others lives.
Zack and I had seen pictures of their adorable little ones, (and Zack had met them) but I had never gotten to meet them. So, it was SO nice to have the opportunity to spend some time catching up with Brad and Megan and getting to meet their little men. Their little boys are super cute and a lot of fun. Brad and Megan were apologizing for their behavior, but their children were very polite and really well behaved...and after having had a few kids have behavior meltdowns at work today, it was refreshing to be around!
Brad, Megan, and family will be leaving in about 2 weeks for a short term mission trip to England. They will be spending a year in England working with a local church in Eythorne, England. They are really excited to be embarking on this new chapter of their lives and their ministry in Christ. Their desire is to share the love and good news of Jesus Christ with the people of England, and we are so glad that they have been blessed with this opportunity.
Zack and I feel truly blessed to know this wonderful godly family and we are excited to see where God leads them and how He chooses to use them over the next year. We will be praying for them as they strive to live in God's will and daily live to glorify Him in all that they do.
